At First City, we believe that as the Church, we are called to reflect the heart of God by caring for those that are the most vulnerable.

As we aim to live each day emulating the hands and feet of Jesus, we have the unique opportunity to step into the lives of children and families with love, consistency, and hope through the support of Foster Care & Adoption.  At First City Church we hope to INITIATE conversations on how your family can prayerfully pursue your involvement in serving and loving vulnerable children. Our desire is to EDUCATE every individual in the church on the current foster care crisis and provide pathways of engagement. We will stand beside you in support as you ACTIVATE your family to live out the love of Christ by serving vulnerable children and supporting the families who care for them.

As a church family, we have the opportunity to live this out in two meaningful and connected ways:

  • We want to intentionally come alongside families who are saying “yes” to fostering or adoption. These journeys are beautiful, but they also come with real emotional, spiritual, and financial weight—especially for those pursuing adoption.

    • Adoption Financial Support: Help offset the significant costs associated with adoption

    • Fundraisers & Love Offerings: Participate in or help create opportunities to support families financially

    • Practical Care: Meals, childcare, and hands-on help during placements, travel, and transitions

    • Prayer & Encouragement: Faithfully covering families as they step into this calling

When we support these families, we help remove barriers and remind them they are not walking this journey alone.

  • Through our partnership with Goshen Valley Foundation, we also have the opportunity to serve children, teens, and families connected to foster care in tangible, impactful ways:
