We are sent to those who are far from God with the hope of the Gospel. We go bravely toward our neighbors, our co-workers, those like us, and those who aren’t. Beyond that, we are committed to the unprecedented opportunity we have to advance the name and fame of Jesus around our nation and the globe. We Live Sent so others will Know Jesus.

First City Kids Vacation Bible School

Hickory Flat | June 9-13 | Hickory Flat Elementary School (Family Night- June 11th)

Are you ready for an "out of this world " experience at Vacation Bible School!? Join us from 9AM-noon each day as we go Above & Beyond to discover what it means to Know The One & Only God. VBS is a free event for entering kindergarten-completed 5th grade (your child must be 5 years old by Sept. 1, 2025 to attend). We hope your kids and their friends will join us as we learn more about what it means to Know Jesus!

First City Preschool Summer Play Days

Moms and preschoolers! Join us for Summer Play Days 2025 as we gather to Experience Family and have some fun in the sun.

These special events are designed for you to enjoy together, so we kindly ask that moms stay with their child for the duration of each event!

Student Camp Week @ Crossroads

June 16-20 | Anderson University | 6th-12th grade

Crossroads, hosted by Clayton King Ministries, is a world-class student summer camp. Hosted at Anderson University, Crossroads leads at the forefront of student summer programming by offering biblically sound teaching, powerful worship experiences, state-of-the-art accommodations, and fellowship/recreation that will have your student making memories with their friends that they will never forget. This will be the best week of summer!

Public Affairs Training

June 30th | Alpharetta student space

Lunch + training | 10:00A - 2:30P

Be "Salt and Light" in the Public Square. We'll start the morning by sharing breakfast with several local public officials in our student space, formerly the Azalea room. Afterward, members of the Georgia Baptist Mission Board will conduct a training session, including lunch. Learn practical ways to engage your faith effectively and without compromise to influence policies that affect our families and community. All of this at no charge to you! First City Kids Camp

July 14-18 | Campbellsville, KY | completed 2nd - 5th Graders

CentriKid regsitration is now closed. All of our spots have been filled. If you are still interested in attending camp, please contact Kim Vasbinder at kvasbinder@fbca.com. We will reach out to our camp organization for more availability. This does not guarantee a spot at camp.

We will be attending camp July 14-18, 2025. The cost is $375, scholarships are available. $75 deposit is due at registration. This deposit is non-refundable.

Student Missions Week

July 6-12 | Western North Carolina | Completed 6th grade & up

In partnership with our Live Sent ministry, First City Students is offering a powerful mission trip opportunity to Western North Carolina. In First City Students, we believe that every student can be equipped and called to Live Sent. Mission trips are great opportunities for students to discover what it may look like to Live Sent in their daily lives.

Student Leadership Week

July 15-18 | SLU 101 | Completed 8th grade & up

Student Leadership University is all about providing opportunities for young believers to develop into capable, confident leaders that will change the world around them. Through varying events, dynamic speakers, and career opportunities, we teach the next generation to Think, Dream, and Lead.

Upward Volleyball Summer Camp

June 23- 27 | girls | ENTERING 3RD - 11th grade

Be a part of the intentional sports experience everyone is talking about as your kids will develop skills, strengthen character and have fun! Girls entering 3rd - 5th grade are invited to morning camp 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Girls entering 6th grade - 11th grade are invited to afternoon camp 1 - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Upward Basketball Summer Camp

Boys & girls | ENTERING 1st - 8th grade

Be a part of the intentional sports experience everyone is talking about as your kids will develop skills, strengthen character and have fun! Each camp week is for children who enter 1st grade through 6th grade in Fall 2025, except for Basketball Strategies that is for children who enter 1st grade through 8th grade in 2025. Each camp week runs 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Monday through Friday. Drop-off begins at 8:30 a.m. while pick-up ends at 5 p.m. sharp. Campers should bring their lunch. Light snacks and cold drinks may be purchased at a concession stand in the gym during mid- morning and mid-afternoon breaks. Most items are $1 or $2. In addition to instruction and teaching, each basketball camp week includes 4-on-4 or 5-on-5 full- court team play, plus fun and exciting group activities including relay races, contests, and skills competitions.

Israel 2026

You are invited to join Pastor Steve and his wife Beth on the journey of a lifetime February 16-25, 2026 as we explore the land of the Bible. We will follow in the footsteps of Jesus and his disciples as we travel through the Holy Land, where our Messiah lived and worked miracles. Watch the Scriptures come to life as you visit places like Bethlehem, Jericho, the Mount of Olives, the Sea of Galilee, and Jerusalem. Float in the Dead Sea, discover Masada, and gaze upon the Valley of Armageddon. This trip will be an incredible spiritual experience that will forever change how you read, study, and understand the Scriptures.
