What is the Ministry Equipping Center?

When Jesus called Peter to follow Him, it took a great step of faith to leave all that he knew and to exchange it for a life and path of unknowns.  However, as he stepped out in faith, the adventure that Peter experienced was indescribable; learning deep truths from the Creator, witnessing miracles from the Son of God, and finding his purpose through bringing the light of the gospel to many who only knew darkness!

Can you imagine what Peter’s life would have been had he not stepped out of the boat?

Are you ready to step out of the boat?
If God is calling you to go to new places in your faith, in service to Him, to join a church plant, or to launch a ministry then let your church walk beside you and help to equip you for that journey!  Join us in the Ministry Equipping Center!

The Ministry Equipping Center (MEC) is an eight-month discipleship, leadership education, and mentoring program running from September to May.  Our aim is to help church members explore their calling, prepare for the journey, and connect you with opportunities to go.

Who is this for?

  • Those feeling a call into vocational ministry.

  • Those wishing to rise to a higher level of leadership in their ministry at FBCA.

  • Those with a strong desire to join a core church planting team.

How much time will it require?

The Ministry Equipping Center will require 1-2 hours per week. You will receive excellent online content through the North American Mission Board SEND Pipeline and personal coaching from a pastor or ministry leader. We will also gather regularly to hear from experienced speakers on various ministry and mission topics. Participants will also be given opportunities to practice and apply what they learn in real world, mission scenarios.
